Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Head – EHS to lead Environment, Health & Safety across all manufacturing locations. The role is responsible for developing EHS strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening process safety, driving sustainability initiatives, and building a proactive safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the corporate EHS strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and industrial safety regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities including CPCB, GPCB, DISH, and Fire Department.
- Lead Process Safety Management activities including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, MOC, PSSR, and risk assessments.
- Drive incident investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and preventive actions.
- Oversee waste management, emissions control, effluent treatment, sustainability, and resource conservation initiatives.
- Implement occupational health programs, industrial hygiene monitoring, and employee wellness initiatives.
- Build a strong safety culture through Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS), training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement.
- Lead ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, internal audits, and external certification activities.
- Develop emergency response plans, conduct mock drills, and lead crisis management during emergencies.
- Mentor site EHS teams and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Projects, HR, and Quality functions.
- Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking EHS performance against industry best practices.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- PG qualification in Industrial Safety or Environmental Management preferred.
- NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
- 18–22+ years of EHS leadership experience in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or process manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing EHS across multiple manufacturing sites.
