About the role:

The Mobile Lead will own the native mobile strategy and cross-team delivery for iOS and Android, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for our multi-million-user platform.

This full-time role requires a hands-on engineer who can drive release cadence, OTA workflows, and UI/UX consistency while collaborating closely with Product, Backend, Platform, and Security teams.

This role is a remote position based in Hyderabad, India.

Key responsibilities:

• Release Management – Define a predictable release cadence, coordinate sprint planning, set feature‑freeze dates, and manage production rollouts for iOS and Android.
• OTA & Deployment – Design and maintain the OTA strategy (CodePush, version negotiation, fallback), integrating Fastlane for automated builds, code signing, and App Store / Play Store deployments.
• UI/UX Stewardship – Enforce a shared design system, review visual consistency, and collaborate with DesignOps to keep the consumer experience polished across both platforms.
• CI/CD & Automation – Lead the end‑to‑end CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions → Fastlane → App Store / Play Store), ensuring linting, unit/UI tests, and artifact signing.
• Incident Management – Lead mobile production incident response, including crash spikes, rollout halts, store pullbacks, and post-incident reviews.
• Observability & Performance – Configure Crashlytics, Firebase Performance, and custom telemetry to capture crash reports, slow‑rendering events, and network metrics, and drive key metrics such as OTA adoption and crash frequency.
• App Store Governance – Own App Store and Play Store compliance, including policy changes, review escalations, rejection handling, phased rollouts, and hotfix submissions.
• Backend Integration – Partner with Backend Engineers to cement API contracts, secure token flows, and data‑sync mechanisms that tap into Azure Functions and API Management.
• Leadership & Culture – Mentor squad members, champion a culture of continuous delivery, and drive data‑driven decisions.

Skills & experience:

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience – 7+ years of professional mobile development experience, including ownership of end‑to‑end delivery for production‑grade iOS and Android applications.
• Technical Proficiency – Advanced knowledge of Swift/Xcode and Kotlin/Java/Android Studio; mastery of tools and CI/CD tooling.
• Performance & Reliability – Hands‑on experience configuring performance and custom logging.
• CI/CD Automation – Proven ability to build GitHub Actions pipelines that automate linting, signing, building, and deployment.
• Security & Compliance – Knowledge of secure app signing, key management (Azure Key Vault integration), and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA). Familiarity with mobile security practices such as certificate pinning, secure storage (Keychain/Keystore), jailbreak/root detection, and runtime protection.
• Leadership – Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional mobile squads, facilitating design reviews, and driving release‑management processes.
• Education – Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

It is also desirable if you have experience:

• Managing large‑scale mobile releases for multi‑million‑plus users.
• Integrating mobile apps with Azure API Management and backend services in a cloud‑native stack.
• Automated UI testing and performance profiling (Instruments, etc.).
• C++ native library integration (e.g., embedded face‑scan SDKs).
