Customer Tech-Adobe-Senior-PIM Developer
EY
Job Description – Senior PIM Developer With Commerce Integration Expertise
Experience: Min 5 years of hands-on experience
Role Summary
The Senior PIM Developer will design, implement, and maintain Product Information Management solutions with a focus on product data governance, catalog enrichment, and seamless integration with Commerce platforms (Adobe Commerce / VTEX), ERP, OMS, and other enterprise systems. The role requires deep expertise in PIM tools, data modeling, and multi-channel product syndication.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure PIM data models including product attributes, attribute sets, families, categories, and taxonomy structures.
- Implement and maintain PIM platforms (Akeneo, InRiver, Salsify) including workflows, rules, and data quality checks.
- Integrate PIM with downstream systems — Commerce platforms (Adobe Commerce / VTEX), ERP, OMS, CMS, and DAM — via REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, or ETL pipelines.
- Govern product data quality — define completeness rules, validation workflows, and enrichment processes.
- Manage multi-channel catalog publishing — map and syndicate product data to various channels (web, print, marketplaces).
- Optimize data synchronization pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, sync failures, and production issues with timely resolution.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to data governance and integration design decisions.
- Perform code and configuration reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, QA, and business stakeholders in Agile environments.
Must Have
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one PIM platform: Akeneo, InRiver, Salsify, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of product data modeling — attribute families, completeness metrics, variant/SKU hierarchies, and category trees.
- Experience building PIM-to-Commerce integrations (Adobe Commerce, VTEX, Salesforce Commerce, etc.).
- Proficiency with REST / GraphQL APIs for data ingestion and syndication.
- Experience with ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for pricing, inventory, and product master data.
- Experience with catalog APIs or Adobe Commerce catalog modules.
- Knowledge of DAM systems and media asset enrichment workflows.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (MuleSoft, Boomi).
- Understanding of B2B catalog scenarios: customer-specific pricing, entitlements, and product visibility rules.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks and MDM concepts.
- PIM platform configuration and administration not just integration.
- Ownership of product data quality and enrichment workflows end-to-end.
- Ability to bridge business/merchandising teams and technical engineering teams.
