Director - Process Excellence Enablement Tower

The GCFO Process Excellence Enablement Tower Lead is accountable for defining and delivering the strategic vision, mandate, and priorities of the GCFO Process Excellence Enablement Tower, ensuring it operates as an integrated, cohesive function that bridges strategy and execution to drive Process Excellence across GCFO aligned to the bank’s process standards.
This Role Will Be Responsible To
- Drive alignment between the GCFO Process Excellence Lead, Global Process Owners (GPOs), and delivery teams, translating strategy into a prioritised, resourced portfolio of initiatives and ensuring effective governance across intake, prioritisation, and execution
- Establishing clear operating models and ways of working, managing demand and resource allocation, and ensuring continuous improvement to deliver scalable, sustainable transformation outcomes across GCFO processes resulting in improved risk and control, increased effectiveness and enhanced colleague experience.
Key Responsibilities
Set Tower vision, mandate and priorities
- Turn Process Excellence strategy into a coherent vision for the Enablement Tower
- Own and refine the vision and report progress to GCFO Process Excellence Lead
- Lead the development of funding requirements and business cases for Enablement Tower investment
Lead Enablement Tower Team
- Set clear expectations for each role within the Enablement Tower
- Run agreed cadence and regular Tower retrospectives to continuously improve how the team works together
- Resolve cross-role conflicts and escalations within remit
- Own escalations up to GCFO Process Excellence Lead
Thought leadership
- Explore new ways of driving transformation and agentification of the GCFO processes and bring in outside in perspectives for GCFO
Stakeholder Engagement
- Own GPO relationships across GCFO and Treasury
Approve intake, prioritisation and resource allocation
- Provide final approvals of intake, prioritisation and resource allocation within agreed parameters
- Own escalation to GCFO Process Excellence Lead for approvals above agreed parameters
People & Talent
- Lead the Process Excellence Enablement Tower team and provides leadership, management and coaching to matrix / direct reports to ensure they are highly engaged and performing to their full potential.
- Act as a mentor and role model, driving a culture of high performance and inclusion.
- Manages all people management activities for direct reports as well as provide advice and guidance to assist with their individual projects.
- Act as an influential leader, provide thought leadership, role modelling and coaching
- Promote innovative thinking and self-development.
- Ensure each Enablement Tower Lead has clear responsibilities, reporting lines, delegated authorities, and objectives.
- Remove obstacles and impediments for the team’s progress and escalates as required.

- Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information, align stakeholders, and promote transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Should have strong financial and commercial acumen, ensuring effective budget management and maximizing program value.
- Knowledge of Bank’s policies and procedures and key risk areas/risk types such as data quality is a must.

- Minimum 15 years of overall work experience in banking field, with proven track record in programme management and delivering change.
