Remote
At 2 Hour Learning, we've developed a system enabling students to learn twice as effectively in only two hours daily. AI-powered tutoring, mastery-driven progression, and a fundamental rethinking of traditional classroom design produce these results. Performance is outstanding. We now need a leader capable of aligning execution across varied school environments, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative voice for a movement rooted in scientific rigor.
This role demands operational leadership, not academic abstraction. You will direct academic strategy in action, establish explicit benchmarks, diagnose gaps in execution, and mentor elite teams to achieve concrete outcomes. You'll convert our scientific principles into operational excellence and advocate for this approach on a global stage.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing academic structures that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational systems, and application design.
- Conducting academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams remain aligned, responsible, and producing measurable impact.
- Analyzing data, conducting interviews, and performing field observations to generate comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete solutions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and progress monitoring focused on student achievement objectives.
- Serving as 2 Hour Learning's principal representative at senior forums—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—advancing systemic transformation in global education paradigms.
- Engaging in narrow curriculum initiatives that fail to produce organization-wide impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring accountability for team performance to middle management layers or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional credibility or conceptual frameworks to convince doubtful audiences.
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across all schools, raising leadership performance standards, and serving as the authoritative public advocate for a movement built on rigorous scientific evidence and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
