About the Role
The Taxation Analyst within the Finance department is responsible for preparing and establishing various financial analyses, quantifying opportunities, projecting financial outcomes, and calculating capital adequacy. This role ensures the provision of accurate and timely financial data to management, adhering to established standards and guidelines. The role also involves maintaining the MIS system and generating periodic analytical reports to support decision-making. Additionally, the Taxation Analyst liaises with different functions to provide financial analysis support and performs ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform financial and accounting-related activities in a timely manner.
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure processes are executed within agreed SLAs.
- Perform month-end closing activities such as revenue accounting, expense accounting, and account reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including credit and collection tasks.
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance against the budget.
- Design and review fiscal policies.
- Ensure financial and accounting reports comply with bank and regulatory rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial data and reports for submission to senior management.
- Prepare daily cash flow reports and register all outstanding payment records.
- Participate in regular audits and recommend corrective financial action plans.
- Conduct analytical reviews of financials to support decision-making.
- Undertake regular self-assessments to actively manage and mitigate new risks.
- Collaborate with Technology to ensure systems accommodate regulatory requirements and process improvements.
- Maintain best-in-class operational documentation.
- Establish a properly staffed and appropriately trained Finance function.
- Capture and share best practices among the team.
- Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated with global market trends and competitor strategies.
- Create an environment that promotes collaborative learning and collective ownership of responsibilities.
- Attract and retain top talent for key roles within the reporting structure.
- Ensure adherence to benchmarks and processes for finalizing commercials and other key parameters.
Education
- Graduate – Any discipline
- Post Graduate – MBA
- Professional Qualification – Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Minimum of 4+ years in Finance.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and MIS systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
