Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RF Software Engineer with strong expertise in 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies to develop, integrate, and optimize RF software solutions for wireless communication products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in cellular modem technologies, RF calibration, protocol interactions, network performance optimization, and troubleshooting across modem, RF, and application layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF software components supporting LTE and 5G NR modem platforms.
- Implement RF control algorithms, calibration procedures, and feature enhancements.
- Develop software interfaces between RF transceivers, modem platforms, protocol stacks, and application layers.
- Support RF feature integration across various chipset and hardware platforms.
- Analyze and optimize RF performance to improve network connectivity and product reliability.
- Debug and resolve issues across RF, modem, protocol stack, and application layers.
- Collaborate with chipset vendors, operators, certification agencies, and global development teams.
- Participate in system architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical evaluations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Hands-on experience in 4G LTE and 5G NR RF Software Development.
- Good understanding of cellular modem architecture and RF communication systems.
- Experience with RF calibration, RF optimization, and modem feature integration.
- Knowledge of protocol interactions and network performance troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with RF transceivers, modem software, and wireless communication stacks.
- Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Qualcomm, Samsung Shannon, MediaTek, or similar modem platforms.
- Knowledge of QMI, AT Commands, and modem management frameworks.
- Experience in Automotive Telematics, IoT Devices, CPE, Smartphones, or Embedded Wireless Products.
- Exposure to operator certification programs such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Telstra, Vodafone, Orange, etc.
- Familiarity with 3GPP standards and cellular technology evolution.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a global cross-functional environment.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of handling complex technical challenges independently.
