Key Responsibilities

Organoid and Spheroid Platform Development

    • Develop, optimize, and characterize tissue-specific 3D spheroid and organoid models derived from primary cells, stem cells, and relevant human cell sources.
    • Establish reproducible protocols for organoid generation, expansion, maintenance, differentiation, and cryopreservation.
    • Design and implement disease-relevant in vitro models for evaluating regenerative and therapeutic interventions.
    • Develop novel 3D culture methodologies and improve platform robustness, scalability, and reproducibility.
    • Perform phenotypic, molecular, and functional characterization of organoids and spheroids.
Assay Development and Validation

    • Develop and validate medium- to high-throughput cell-based assays for biomarker quantification and therapeutic efficacy assessment.
    • Design and execute functional assays related to tissue regeneration, inflammation, fibrosis, angiogenesis, wound healing, and cellular function.
    • Optimize assay workflows and establish qualification criteria for reproducibility and robustness.
    • Support assay transfer, standardization, and technology implementation across teams.
Cell and Molecular Biology

    • Perform mammalian cell culture, primary cell culture, stem cell culture, and differentiation studies.
    • Conduct molecular and biochemical analyses including:
    • ELISA and multiplex cytokine assays
    • RNA isolation and purification
    • RT-qPCR and gene expression analysis
    • Protein quantification assays
    • Western blotting
    • Immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence
    • Flow cytometry (preferred)
    • Support sample preparation and analysis for microscopy-based studies including phase contrast, fluorescence, confocal, and high-content imaging.
Histology and Tissue Characterization

    • Perform tissue processing, fixation, paraffin embedding, cryo-embedding, microtomy, and cryosectioning of organoids, spheroids, and engineered tissue constructs.
    • Conduct histological characterization using H&E and relevant special stains.
    • Perform immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) for tissue-specific marker analysis.
    • Analyze tissue architecture, differentiation status, cellular organization, and biomarker expression in 3D tissue models.
    • Support quantitative image analysis and histology assessments.
Data Analysis and Scientific Reporting

    • Design experiments and perform data acquisition, processing, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
    • Prepare technical reports, study summaries, scientific presentations, and publication-quality figures.
    • Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation.
    • Contribute to scientific publications, patents, grant proposals, and regulatory documentation.
Project Execution and Collaboration

    • Independently design and execute R&D projects aligned with organizational goals.
    • Mentor and train Research Associates and junior scientists.
    • Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams including biology, process development, analytics, translational research, and product development.
    • Participate in scientific discussions, project reviews, and strategic planning initiatives.
Quality Systems and Documentation

    • Develop, optimize, and maintain SOPs, protocols, and experimental workflows.
    • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety practices and internal quality standards.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best laboratory practices.
Educational Qualifications

    • PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Regenerative Medicine, Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
Experience

    • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant postdoctoral and/or industrial research experience.
    • Prior experience in organoid, spheroid, tissue engineering, or disease modeling platforms is preferred.
    • Experience working in an industry R&D environment is preferred.
Mandatory Technical Expertise

    • Extensive hands-on experience in:
    • 3D organoid and/or spheroid culture systems
    • Mammalian, primary, and stem cell culture
    • Stem cell differentiation and tissue model development
    • Disease modeling and cell-based functional assays
    • Histology workflows including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, cryosectioning, H&E staining, IHC, and IF
    • RT-qPCR, ELISA, immunostaining, and molecular biology techniques
    • Confocal and fluorescence microscopy
    • Experimental design, data analysis, and statistical interpretation
Preferred Skills

    • Experience in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and translational research.
    • Experience with high-content imaging systems and image analysis software.
    • Familiarity with biomarker discovery and mechanism-of-action studies.
    • Experience supporting preclinical research programs.
    • Demonstrated scientific productivity through publications, patents, technology development, or grant participation.
