The Core Responsibilities For The Job Include The Following
Test Planning and Strategy:
- Analyse product requirements, design specifications, and user stories to define comprehensive test strategies.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI/UX testing across multiple platforms and devices.
- Develop, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks and scripts to reduce manual testing efforts.
- Conduct API testing to ensure robust backend integrations.
- Identify, isolate, and document software defects clearly using bug-tracking tools (e. g., Jira and Bugzilla).
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to reproduce issues, troubleshoot root causes, and verify bug fixes.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality control.
- Sign off on release candidates and monitor production deployments for potential quality regressions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of proven professional experience in software quality assurance.
- Automation: Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e. g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and Playwright).
- Programming: Proficiency in at least one object-orientated or scripting language (e. g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby).
- API Testing: Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
- Tools: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Database: Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and database querying.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.
