Republic Bangla is looking for passionate and experienced News Desk Reporters (Output) to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have strong editorial judgment, excellent writing and copy-editing skills, and the ability to produce accurate, engaging, and high-quality news content for live television broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and prepare news scripts, headlines, tickers, and bulletin content for live news broadcasts.

• Coordinate with the Input Desk, Reporters, Anchors, PCR, Graphics, Production, and Digital teams to ensure seamless newsroom operations.

• Monitor breaking news and update bulletins with speed, accuracy, and editorial integrity.

• Verify facts, cross-check information, and ensure compliance with editorial guidelines before telecast.

• Prioritize stories and assist in planning daily news bulletins and special programming.

• Prepare anchor briefs, background notes, and editorial research for major news events.

• Work closely with the Output Editor to ensure smooth execution of live shows and bulletins.

• Edit reporter copies to maintain accuracy, clarity, language quality, and editorial consistency.

• Handle high-pressure breaking news situations while meeting strict broadcast deadlines.

• Contribute ideas for special programming, explainers, and exclusive editorial coverage.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.

• 2–10 years of experience in television news, preferably in an Output Desk or editorial role.

• Strong command of news writing, copy editing, and bulletin production.

• Excellent news judgment and understanding of current affairs.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced 24×7 newsroom environment.
