About the Role:

The Youth Engagement and Participant Experience Lead is responsible for ensuring that young people remain at the centre of Art × Evidence throughout their journey - from outreach and onboarding to participation, creative engagement, and continued involvement beyond the showcase. As the primary bridge between participants and the project team, this role ensures that the voices, experiences, and needs of young people are consistently represented in programme planning and implementation. Beyond participant coordination, this role brings expertise in working with young people, helping shape engagement approaches that are relevant, inclusive, and responsive to their realities. The role serves as the project's pulse on participant experience, ensuring that Art × Evidence remains grounded in the lives of the young people it seeks to serve.


Responsibilities

1. Participant Outreach & Mobilisation - Develop and implement participant mobilisation plans in line with the overall engagement strategy. Mobilise participants through Antarang's alumni network and other identified youth ecosystems. Support outreach to new participant groups as identified by the Project Coordinator and Steering Group.

2. Participant Engagement & Experience - Design and execute participant engagement activities throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as the primary point of contact for participants before, during and after programme activities. Build trust and maintain consistent communication with participants to encourage sustained engagement. Ensure participants clearly understand the purpose, opportunities and expectations of Art × Evidence.


3. Participant Advocacy - Represent participant perspectives within the project team. Provide insights into youth behaviour, motivations and barriers that inform programme design and decision-making. Advise the Project Coordinator on the practicality and effectiveness of participant engagement strategies.


4. Community Building - Foster an inclusive, safe and supportive participant community. Encourage peer learning and collaboration among participants. Support long-term engagement beyond the Mumbai edition, contributing to the growth of the Art × Evidence movement.


5. Participant Data & Feedback - Maintain participant records and engagement trackers. Monitor participation, retention and engagement levels. Gather participant feedback and share insights with the Project Coordinator and relevant work streams to improve programme delivery.
