Workday Systems Manager

VXI Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Workday Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and ongoing development of our Workday platform. This role will manage Workday operations, system enhancements, integrations, reporting, security, and release activities while partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leaders.
The ideal candidate combines strong Workday functional expertise with effective team leadership, stakeholder management, and process-improvement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday platform
- Manage Workday modules, such as HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, and Advanced Compensation
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions and process improvements
- Lead Workday implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, and deployment activities
- Manage and mentor Workday analysts, administrators, consultants, and implementation partners
- Maintain business processes, calculated fields, reports, dashboards, integrations, and security configurations
- Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, privacy, security, and compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations
- Coordinate Workday’s biannual release review, impact assessment, regression testing, and feature adoption
- Develop governance standards for configuration changes, documentation, testing, and production migrations
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve the employee experience
- Oversee system integrations with payroll providers, benefits vendors, identity-management systems, financial platforms, and other applications
- Monitor support requests, system performance, service-level expectations, and recurring issues
- Produce management reports and analytics that support workforce planning and business decisions
- Maintain system documentation, operating procedures, training materials, and audit evidence
- Manage vendor relationships, project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements when applicable
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of HRIS or enterprise systems experience, including at least [3–5] years of hands-on Workday experience
- Experience leading Workday projects, enhancements, releases, or implementations
- Strong knowledge of Workday business processes, security, reporting, calculated fields, and integrations
- Experience managing employees, contractors, or external implementation partners
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project-management, and documentation skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
