About the role

The L3 ERP Developer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting high‑quality SAP developments across the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem.

The role contributes deep technical expertise to the delivery of secure, sustainable, and clean‑core‑aligned solutions that support business operations while protecting core system integrity.

The DSC ERP Senior Developer works within approved development standards, lifecycle processes, and change governance, supporting reliable delivery and minimising risk to system stability and compliance.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Delivers and supports custom developments on S/4HANA and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) in line with approved designs and standards.
  • Ensures the quality and integrity of assigned custom developments, including Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms (WRICEF) and BTP applications.
  • Contributes to quality assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with development standards, processes, and clean core principles.
  • Supports and coordinates development activities through to successful deployment to production.
  • Ensure system stability by ensuring the development lifecycle is followed and functional changes are tested effectively to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Ensures compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley act and safeguards the business from adverse findings and weaknesses through documented controls.
  • Supports Change Management activities for custom developments and participates in Change Advisory Board processes as required.
  • Applies and adheres to approved tools, coding standards, development principles, and artefacts to ensure compliance with clean core standards


Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in providing technical programming support for SAP and supporting systems.

• Experience in delivery of complex developments using SAP S/4HANA ABAP and BTP platforms (CAP and RAP) that support SAP functional processes and data flows.

• Experience using source control platforms (e.g. GitHub or equivalent) to manage code in accordance with approved development and security standards.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships within a cross-functional team.

• Strong business acumen across ERP functions (Finance, Contracts & Procurement, Logistics and Asset Management)

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Willingness to mentor other ERP Developers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
