About the Role

The L3 Delivery Excellence (DXO) Analyst is responsible for assuring the Digital Delivery Process and supports the effective governance and delivery of Digital initiatives within Digital.

By collaborating with all teams across Digital, this role understands business requirements, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and implements solutions that ensure delivery is aligned with Woodside standards, frameworks and processes.

The L3 DXO Analyst contributes and supports the evolution of Delivery Excellence practices by driving process optimisation and improvements of Digital’s delivery governance frameworks to enable efficient, compliant, and high-quality global delivery at Woodside.

The role creates and upholds the environment that enables Digital teams to work unimpeded by the friction of the organisation and provides coaching and advisory services around the delivery process and associated tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery Governance & Assurance

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Build and support governance frameworks for Digital projects to ensure requirements are met and delivery aligns with Woodside standards

Provide assurance across project delivery, including facilitation and participation in governance forums

Implement assurance controls and perform compliance reporting of the Digital delivery portfolio

Ensure initiatives comply with Woodside Deliver System Standard and delivery processes

Perform compliance spot checks on in-flight initiatives and work with delivery teams to close any gaps

Reporting, Insights & Tools

Develop and maintain reporting of the delivery portfolio (e.g. SPM dashboards, Power BI reports) to ensure visibility and provide insight into delivery performance and compliance

Utilise tools such as ServiceNow SPM and Power BI to support delivery tracking and reporting

Provide regular reports on process performance and portfolio health data to stakeholders.

Support & Training

Provide subject matter expertise to Digital project managers to coach and uplift capability in the application of the delivery processes and tools, referencing the Digital Delivery Frameworks and WMS Standards.

Facilitate DXO Inductions and provide onboarding support to teams new to Digital

Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to ensure successful adoption, enhancing their skills and knowledge in the use of Digital’s Portfolio Management tool (SPM).

Encourage consistent adoption of Digital Delivery frameworks, standards, and governance

Act as a in region point of contact for any issues or questions related to the Digital Delivery Process, SPM tool and broader Delivery Excellence related queries

Delivery Excellence & Process Improvement

Support the Delivery Excellence Lead in defining, implementing, and optimising delivery processes, frameworks and standards to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce organisational friction

Promote a culture of continuous improvement across digital delivery teams

Ensure that process changes are globally scalable, efficient, and adaptable to changing business needs.

Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing systems.

Identify opportunities for leveraging new technologies to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness

Encourage innovative approaches to workflow design and problem-solving.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Interface closely with Woodside leads, Project Managers, and service providers to support successful delivery outcomes

Develop strong relationships across Digital teams and other functions that are supporting the delivery process, i.e. C&P.

Facilitate collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and effective delivery outcomes and enable delivery teams to work unimpeded by the friction of the organisation

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure that process requirements and objectives are understood and met

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure global alignment of process designs with business objectives.

Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science or a related field is typically required.
  • Certifications in Project Management, Agile, or PMO disciplines (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum)
  • Several years of experience in project management support, PMO, or Digital delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of Digital solution delivery and application lifecycle management
  • Experience working within governance frameworks and project delivery methodologies
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies and tools and delivery practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience using tools such as ServiceNow with a focus on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Power BI, Jira/ Confluence
  • Ability to develop reports (Power BI and within ServiceNow), interpret data and use it to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to handle resistance to change
  • Experience in facilitation of workshops and/ or training sessions across large, divers stakeholder groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical capability to identify improvement opportunities, and gather, analyse and document stakeholder requirements to translate into feasible solutions
  • Proficiency in creating process maps, developing training material and other documentation to represent business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in process design, documentation and reporting.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
