Product Manager
Plotline
Plotline helps consumer apps create personalized in-app and off-app experiences without repeated engineering effort.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own key product modules end-to-end. This is a 1-to-n product role focused on improving, scaling, and driving adoption of existing and new capabilities.
You will work directly with customers, designers, engineers, Customer Success, and founders to decide what to build, ship it, and ensure customers receive measurable value from it.
What You Will Own
- Own the roadmap for assigned in-app and off-app modules
- Speak regularly with customers and participate in QBRs
- Identify recurring customer problems and convert them into scalable product improvements
- Benchmark Plotline against competitors and close important product gaps
- Define requirements and problem statements for design and engineering
- Drive features from prioritization through launch, adoption, and iteration
- Measure whether shipped features improve customer value
- Help establish Plotline as an innovative, AI-first, class-leading product
First 3 Months
- Develop a strong understanding of Plotline’s customers, products, and competitive landscape
- Build relationships with 5 to 6 customers and independently run product conversations
- Establish adoption and value metrics for assigned modules
- Identify and prioritize the most important product gaps
- Own at least one meaningful product improvement from problem definition to launch
- Get each assigned module adopted by at least five paying customers
- Improve adoption and meaningful usage after launch
- Deliver improvements that solve recurring problems across multiple customers
- Keep Plotline competitive with leading customer-engagement platforms
- Build a clear, evidence-based roadmap with explicit trade-offs
- Demonstrate measurable improvements in customer value, retention, or expansion
Product Ownership
- Own assigned modules from roadmap through adoption and continuous improvement
- Prioritize customer problems using customer evidence, usage data, commercial impact, competitive context, and engineering effort
- Make clear decisions about what to build, what to delay, and what not to build
- Define the smallest valuable version and reduce unnecessary scope
- Speak regularly with customers and independently lead product discussions
- Participate in QBRs and understand how customers use Plotline
- Synthesize customer interviews, support issues, usage data, and commercial feedback
- Separate recurring product problems from one-off feature requests
- Validate whether shipped solutions have resolved the original problem
- Regularly evaluate competing products and emerging market trends
- Identify capabilities where Plotline must match or lead the market
- Translate competitive findings into practical product decisions
- Help ensure Plotline is perceived as innovative and AI-first
- Give designers clear problems, user context, constraints, and desired outcomes
- Partner closely with engineering on feasibility, trade-offs, edge cases, and delivery
- Maintain clear scope, requirements, success metrics, and non-goals
- Resolve ambiguity and unblock decisions during development
- Coordinate launches with Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Support
- Define success metrics before development begins
- Create rollout, enablement, and adoption plans for every major launch
- Track customer adoption, repeat usage, customer value, and retention signals
- Investigate why valuable features are not being adopted
- Improve, reposition, or stop investing based on evidence
- 3 to 6 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or a comparable technology product
- Proven ownership of products or modules from prioritization through adoption
- Evidence of shipping and scaling features across multiple paying customers
- Strong examples of measurable adoption, usage, retention, or business impact
- Experience making prioritization decisions under limited engineering capacity
- Ability to independently run customer conversations
- Strong product judgment and customer empathy
- Experience working closely with product designers and engineers
- Comfort understanding APIs, SDKs, integrations, data flows, and analytics
- Strong written and verbal communication
- You can explain what you personally decided, shipped, and improved
- You have taken a feature from low adoption to meaningful customer usage
- You have rejected attractive requests to protect a more important outcome
- You can identify patterns across conflicting customer feedback
- You benchmark competitors without blindly copying them
- You define success through customer outcomes, not launches
- You continue owning a product after it ships
- It is not primarily a GTM, sales, or pipeline-generation role
- It is not a project-management or ticket-writing role
- It is not limited to launching new features
- It is not a pure 0-to-1 discovery role
- It is not about building custom solutions for every customer
- Own strategically important products used by consumer businesses globally
- Work directly with customers, founders, designers, and engineers
- Shape the roadmap across in-app engagement, off-app communication, analytics, gamification, and AI
- See your work move from customer problem to shipped product and measurable adoption
- Operate with meaningful autonomy and clear outcome ownership
