Job Overview:
Example: CGI is looking for a talented and motivated DevSecOps ( Vulnerability ) with strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and risk prioritization to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure DevSecOps pipelines across development and deployment environments.
Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines to automate vulnerability detection and remediation.
Perform vulnerability assessments and manage remediation activities for applications, infrastructure, containers, and cloud environments.
Conduct Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security scans.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Implement and enforce secure coding practices and DevSecOps best practices.
Manage container and Kubernetes security, including image scanning and runtime security.
Monitor security events, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments.
Automate security reporting, compliance checks, and policy enforcement.
Participate in incident response and security investigations when required.
Mentor junior engineers and promote security awareness across engineering teams.
Required Skills
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
6–8 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
Experience with security tools such as:
SonarQube
Snyk
Checkmarx
Fortify
Veracode
OWASP ZAP
Burp Suite
Trivy
Nessus
Qualys
Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, CVE, and CVSS.
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container image scanning.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) and IaC security scanning.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud security best practices.
Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
Experience with Git, Linux, and configuration management tools.
Knowledge of networking, identity and access management (IAM), SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, and secrets management.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SIEM and security monitoring tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or ELK.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or NIST.
Experience implementing DevSecOps in Microservices and Kubernetes environments.
Familiarity with policy-as-code tools such as Open Policy Agent (OPA).
Experience with runtime security tools such as Falco or Prisma Cloud.
