Treasury Manager
Neve Jewels Group - India
Role - Treasury Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Treasury Manager is the single accountable owner for all cash, currency and metals exposure across the Neve Jewels Group.
The Treasury Manager owns the consolidation of all of this into one disciplined, board-grade treasury operation. This is a corporate treasury role, not a banking or markets role — the ideal candidate has spent their career on the corporate side of the table, working alongside treasury advisors and banking partners to deliver treasury outcomes for the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cash Management & Yield Optimisation
- Own consolidated cash visibility across every entity and currency — real-time dashboards for the CFO and CEO
- Partner with FP&A team on forecast group funding requirements on a rolling basis; ensure funds are available where and when the business needs them
- Optimise return on idle cash across the group — identify surplus balances, deploy them into short-term, secure instruments (money market funds, fixed deposits, treasury bills), and drive yield discipline as a standing operating rhythm
- Manage intercompany funding, transfer-pricing-compliant intercompany loans and group cash pooling where appropriate
Hedging — Currency & Metals
- Own the currency hedging strategy across GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, INR— working closely with external treasury advisors on structuring and market view, and taking accountability for the execution and governance of the programme
- Own the metals hedging strategy for gold, silver and platinum exposure — again working with external specialist advisors on structuring, and owning execution and reporting internally
- Establish and maintain the group hedging policy — layered forward cover, natural-hedge optimisation, tolerance limits — and ensure execution stays within policy
- Report hedge effectiveness and P&L impact to the CFO on a defined cadence
Governance & Partnership
- Partner with the VP Accounts & Finance on hedge accounting, bank reconciliations and treasury-related audit matters
- Partner with the Head of FP&A + Business Partnering on cash-flow forecasting and working-capital planning
- Provide treasury-related inputs to the equity-fundraise process — capital structure analysis, debt-equity optimisation, lender notifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in a corporate treasury role
- Demonstrable experience owning a treasury function inside a corporate — cash management, currency hedging, and short-term investment of surplus cash
- Track record of working effectively with external treasury advisors on structuring currency and metals hedging programmes — as the intelligent client, not as the structuring specialist
- Multi-entity, multi-currency cash management experience in a group of comparable scale
- Experience deploying surplus corporate cash into short-term instruments and driving measurable yield improvement
- Prior exposure to fundraise or debt refinancing from a corporate treasury perspective is a plus
- Qualified accountant or equivalent finance qualification preferred
Explicitly not required:
- Prior banking, brokerage or markets-trading background — this is a corporate treasury role, not a markets role
- Deep derivatives structuring expertise — that responsibility sits with external advisors
TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Strong working knowledge of currency hedging instruments (forwards, options, collars) as a corporate user — sufficient to engage advisors intelligently and govern execution, not to design structures from scratch
- Working knowledge of metals hedging in a corporate context — gold, silver, platinum.
- Familiarity with multi-bank platforms and treasury management systems — even lightweight or spreadsheet-based approaches, at Neve's stage of scale
- Advanced Excel for cash-flow modelling and scenario analysis
- External treasury advisors engaged and operating as a productive extension of the treasury function
PROFILE & STYLE
This is a hands-on owner role, not a team-management role at the outset. We are looking for a corporate treasury professional who can execute the strategy themselves — running the cash forecast, deploying surplus balances, engaging advisors on hedging, opening banking conversations — and who is comfortable being the single accountable point for treasury outcomes to the CFO.
The right person is a disciplined operator with strong commercial judgement, comfortable working alongside external advisors as a knowledgeable client rather than as a peer specialist.
