We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong expertise in handling day-to-day DB Administration activities in a multi-platform enterprise environment, owning and driving scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance tasks, strong performance analysis, tuning, troubleshooting, production incident resolution, and query optimization. The ideal candidate has supported large-scale global enterprises (>$10B annual revenue) and can quickly analyze and resolve performance-related issues in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle databases in large enterprise environments (clients >$10B revenue).
  • Perform deep-dive performance tuning across SQL, PL/SQL, indexes, and query execution plans.
  • Analyze AWR/ASH/ADDM reports and implement tuning recommendations.
  • Lead critical production incident resolution including triage, RCA, and permanent fixes.
  • Manage Oracle RAC / ASM and Dataguard environments.
  • Implement and test backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure database security, auditing, and compliance.
  • Automate repeatable DBA tasks and maintain documentation.
  • Analyze and investigate reason for job failures, long-running queries, and provide recommendations to improve overall system performance.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting organizations with >$10B revenue or large-scale operational workloads.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle 11g/12c/19c.

Strong Expertise In

  • SQL tuning
  • PL/SQL tuning
  • Query execution plans and explain plan interpretation
  • Oracle Optimizer behavior
  • Wait events & performance diagnostics
  • Hands-on with SQL Developer, Toad
  • Strong knowledge of RAC, ASM, Dataguard
  • Good Linux admin exposure

Nice To Have Experience

Hands-on experience in handling SQL Server and/or Postgres SQL Database administration

  • Should have expertise in leading critical priority incidents with all Client stakeholders

  • Demonstrate the conviction and ability to steer pro-active, improvement ideas through different levels of stakeholders
