Job Description
The Safety Executive Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within the Health, Safety & Environment department. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures. The officer will conduct regular safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring adherence to safety regulations. Additionally, the role involves providing training to employees to enhance their understanding and awareness of workplace safety. The officer will investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analyses to recommend corrective measures. Collaboration with various departments is essential to integrate safety practices into daily operations and promote a culture of safety excellence. The officer will maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident investigations to support continuous improvement efforts. Providing expert guidance and support to management and staff on safety-related matters is a key responsibility, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.

Advise senior management on HSE and fire safety compliance, risk mitigation, and preventive actions in line with statutory

and organizational requirements.

Develop, implement, review, and continuously improve safety and fire management programs, policies, and safe systems

of work.

Conduct workplace safety inspections, surveys, and audits, prepare detailed reports, recommend corrective/preventive

actions, and ensure timely closure.

Maintain and manage HSE documentation, safety files, records, and compliance registers. ? Ensure legal compliance with all applicable health, safety, fire, plant, equipment, and hazardous material regulations. Coordinate and review risk assessments for work activities, equipment, and operations, ensuring controls remain effective

and up to date.

Oversee fire safety management, including fire risk assessments, fire precautions, emergency systems, and unwanted fire

alarm activation reduction.

Provide technical advice on fire safety for new builds, alterations, maintenance works, and building services. ? Liaise with fire authorities, regulatory bodies, external consultants, and safety committees during inspections, audits, and

training activities.

Advice on fire safety for daily operations, including evacuation planning, disabled evacuation compliance, and provision of

evacuation aids.

Support incident and fire investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Monitor day-to-day fire precautions and safety controls across occupied premises. Prepare and submit periodic and annual HSE and fire safety reports to senior management and governing bodies. Coordinate responses to unsafe condition reports, ensuring corrective maintenance actions are implemented within budget

controls.
