Role – Analyst 1, Supplier Support (Supplier Enablement – SAP Business Network)
The person in this individual contributor (IC) role supports end-to-end supplier enablement delivery for SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba Network) from our centre in Ahmedabad. The role focuses on executing supplier onboarding, adoption, and transaction readiness across source-to-pay processes (e.g., PO collaboration, order confirmation, ASN, invoicing, Catalog enablement), while following global policies and contributing to measurable improvements in supplier experience and spend coverage. The person will work closely with stakeholders across Procurement, AP, IT, Services, and external suppliers/partners to help deliver scalable enablement processes that meet service standards and business outcomes. This role reports to the Manager, GPS.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support supplier enablement delivery on SAP Business Network, including intake processing, onboarding coordination, activation support, and ongoing supplier lifecycle activities.
- Execute enablement activities to drive adoption of target capabilities such as PO collaboration, confirmations, ASN, invoice automation, catalog/enablement, and supplier profile/data maintenance.
- Support supplier engagement activities including communications, supplier training support, enablement campaign execution, and escalation coordination for critical suppliers.
- Collaborate with Procurement, AP, and IT to align enablement execution with buying channel strategy, compliance requirements, and system/process design (S2P policies, invoice compliance, tax/regulatory needs where applicable).
- Track and report performance metrics and operational KPIs (e.g., supplier activation rate, transaction compliance, e-invoice penetration, cycle times, touchless processing rate, supplier satisfaction) and contribute to continuous improvement actions.
- Contribute to “change the business” initiatives including digitization, automation, supplier experience enhancements, and transformation roadmaps by supporting analysis, documentation, testing, and rollout activities.
- Follow operational risk, compliance, and controls requirements; maintain accurate documentation/SOP adherence, support access/role compliance, and help with issue tracking and remediation actions.
- Support team capability building by maintaining process knowledge, tool proficiency, and effective stakeholder coordination (note: this role does not include people management responsibilities).
- 1+ years of experience in supplier enablement, procurement operations, and/or S2P processes in a global environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP Business Network / Ariba Network enablement (supplier onboarding, transaction enablement, e-invoicing/PO collaboration, enablement support model).
- Strong execution and process skills: standard work adherence, documentation, data quality, controls awareness, and scalable service delivery.
- KPI and governance support capability: ability to track metrics, prepare insights for reviews, and support escalation handling while ensuring compliance.
- Change adoption support skills: communications, training support, supplier enablement assistance, and user experience focus.
- Analytical and continuous improvement mindset (root cause analysis, defect reduction, cycle time improvements).
- Education: Degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Technology proficiency: SAP S/4HANA integration concepts, Ariba/SAP Business Network administration/operations; familiarity with P2P tools and ticketing platforms preferred.
