- Qualification: MBA (Finance/Banking), CA, CFA, FRM, B.Com, M.Com, BBM, BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will support business development and sales engagements by understanding client requirements, positioning Surya’s solutions, and demonstrating the value of our products to banks, financial institutions, and corporate customers. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams across the complete sales lifecycle.
- Attend client requirement discussions and understand business, functional, and solution needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, workshops, and presentations for prospective customers.
- Prepare and submit responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other proposal-related documentation.
- Prepare solution decks, product write-ups, proposal content, business presentations, and customer-facing collateral.
- Provide content support for certifications, ratings, analyst questionnaires, industry assessments, and related submissions.
- Work collaboratively with Field Sales, Sales Operations, Inside Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to support sales opportunities.
- Assist in solution positioning, proposal preparation, proof-of-concept discussions, and customer clarifications.
- Stay updated on banking, financial risk management, regulatory developments, and competitive product offerings.
- Travel to customer locations for meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and business development activities as required
Functional
- Good understanding of banking and financial services industry.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and map them to product capabilities.
- Exposure to Treasury, ALM, Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, IRRBB, FTP, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, or related risk management areas is desirable.
- Ability to prepare customer-facing solution proposals, presentations, and business write-ups.
- Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word – Mandatory.
- Ability to create clear solution decks, product collateral, and proposal documents.
- SQL basics and understanding of databases – Good to have.
- Understanding of enterprise software products and implementation lifecycle is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, listening, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Flexible and positive approach to work with willingness to travel based on business requirements.
- Prior experience in software product pre-sales, solution consulting, business consulting, or client-facing product demonstrations.
- Prior exposure to Financial Risk Management products or banking product pre-sales will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, fintech organizations, or enterprise software companies is preferred
