Responsibilities: - Project Planning: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scopes, create technical specifications, and develop detailed project timelines. - Architecture and Design: Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions for WordPress websites and Shopify stores, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Development: Engage in hands-on coding and development, particularly for complex or high-priority tasks, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations. - Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest level of software quality through testing and code reviews, and by implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. - Problem-Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges that arise during the development process, ensuring timely and effective solutions. - Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in WordPress and Shopify development, and integrate them into the development process where appropriate. - Client Interaction: Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements: - Expertise Required: Multitasking, technical expertise, leadership, scheduling and time management, critical thinking and problem-solving. - Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. - Experience: A minimum of 3 years in web development in WordPress technology Technical Expertise: - WordPress: Proficiency in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, WooCommerce, and multisite setups. - Frontend: Strong skills in HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and responsive design. - Backend: Experience with PHP, MySQL, and server-side technologies related to WordPress and Shopify. - Tools and DevOps: Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - E-commerce Focus: Deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, payment gateways, SEO, and user experience optimisation. - Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in leading agile teams. - Full Stack Development: Experience in full-stack development, including frontend, backend, and database management. - Security: Knowledge of security best practices and implementation of secure coding standards in WordPress and Shopify. - Performance Optimisation: Experience in optimising websites for speed, performance, and scalability. - Third-Party Integrations: Experience with integrating third-party services such as CRM, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
