Job Title: Background Verification Specialist (Freshers)

Working Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Working Days: 5 Days (Monday to Friday)
Scope of Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical Screening Specialist (Fresher) to join our Operations team. In this role, you will conduct primary source verifications, international database checks, and document authentication for candidates across global markets.
You will communicate with international universities, previous employers, regulatory authorities, and third-party verification databases to validate candidate information and prepare accurate, timely, and confidential verification reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Database & Document Verification: Verify government-issued IDs, criminal records, address details, and international public databases to validate candidate information.
- Employment Verification: Contact HR teams and previous employers via email and phone to verify employment dates, job titles, roles, and other relevant employment details.
- Education Verification: Liaise with universities, colleges, and authorized verification platforms to authenticate degrees, qualifications, and academic records.
- Discrepancy Identification: Review candidate information and verified records to identify missing details, inconsistencies, or potential discrepancies, and escalate concerns to team leads.
- Case & Data Management: Maintain accurate case records, update verification statuses in internal systems, and ensure all cases are completed within defined SLAs.
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Handle sensitive candidate information responsibly and follow applicable data privacy, confidentiality, and background screening requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BCA, etc.).
- Experience: Freshers and candidates with 0–1 year of experience are welcome to apply. Prior experience in verification, operations, customer support, KYC, or compliance is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Communication: Strong written and spoken English skills with the ability to communicate professionally with international institutions and employers.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with good online research skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, or discrepancies across documents and records.
- Work Approach: Organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working with sensitive information and time-bound tasks.
