Key Responsibility Areas
- Monthly GST Compliance - Outward GST
- You will review sales registers for all 25 Goodyear India Limited locations to ensure accurate reporting in GSTR-1.
- You will reconcile sales register data with e-invoices available on the GST portal before filing GSTR-1, covering approximately 50,000 invoices every month.
- You will reconcile export invoices with shipping bills issued by Customs authorities and ensure accurate reporting of export transactions.
- You will review invoice-level details, including GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, Place of Supply (POS), customer GSTIN, and other statutory requirements.
- You will reconcile sales registers with GST liability GL accounts (IGST, CGST, and SGST).
- You will ensure proper transfer of eligible Input Tax Credit (ITC) to the appropriate ITC GL accounts through journal entries.
- You will perform monthly reviews of the Invoice Management System (IMS) to identify rejected dealer/channel partner credit notes and assess their GST impact. You will prepare GST payment advice and determine state-wise GST liability settlement requirements. You will generate GST payment challans and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities.
- You will validate GSTR-3B data, complete GST liability set-offs through ITC utilization and cash payments, and ensure timely return filing.
- ISD (Input Service Distributor) Compliance
- You will prepare ISD allocation workings based on turnover ratios and applicable GST provisions. You will prepare and raise SSFs for posting ISD distribution entries in SAP across locations.
- You will manage transfer of ITC related to Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) liabilities from regular GST registrations to ISD registrations.
- Credit Note Compliance
- You will review post-sale discount schemes and OEM commercial arrangements to ensure GST compliance.
- You will validate GST credit note workings received from Credit Control teams through sample and risk-based reviews.
- You will coordinate the collection of CA certificates and self-declarations from customers and channel partners relating to ITC reversals.
- You will ensure compliance with GST provisions governing post-sale discount credit notes.
- Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management
- You will identify and account for eligible manual ITC claims, including shipping line invoices and specific reimbursable business expenses.
- You will review ITC eligibility and ensure proper documentation and compliance for all claims.
- You will monitor ITC risks and ensure maximum tax credit optimization while maintaining compliance.
- GST Audits, Assessments & Litigation
- You will manage GST notices, audits, assessments, and litigation matters, including ASMT-10 notices, Show Cause Notices, departmental audits, and appeals. You will prepare reconciliations, GST liability data, sales information, and supporting documentation required by tax authorities.
- You will represent the organization before GST authorities during audits and assessments.
- Annual GST Compliance
- You will consolidate annual sales data reported through monthly GST returns.
- You will reconcile GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data and ensure all discrepancies are resolved before year-end closure. You will perform detailed validation checks prior to filing GSTR-9 to minimize future litigation exposure.
- You will download and analyze revenue GL data from SAP.
- You will perform detailed reconciliation between GST returns and financial records. You will review other income streams to determine GST implications.
- You should be a Graduate in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Indirect Taxation, with strong expertise in GST compliance, return filing, reconciliations, audits, assessments, litigation management, ITC compliance, e-invoicing, and process improvements.
