Buyer-Indirects (German Language Expert)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for managing sourcing activities, including tendering processes, bid evaluations, negotiations (including e-auctions), contract drafting, and supplier management for indirect procurement categories (primarily facility management services, general equipment and supplies, as well as journal and database subscriptions).
• You prepare and independently negotiate framework agreements with strategic suppliers.
• You prepare commercial bid comparisons and award recommendations in close cooperation with the requesting business departments.
• You manage and maintain purchase orders, contract amendments, framework agreements, and supplier master data in SAP SRM and SAP MM.
• You actively contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
• You identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
• You conduct demand and benchmark analyses.
• You identify potential e-catalog opportunities and drive the development of key suppliers and framework agreements.
• You support process and change management initiatives as well as special projects.

Qualifications:

• You hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualifications.
• Several years of professional experience in indirect procurement within an international purchasing environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of contract law as well as proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and SAP MM is required; experience with SAP SRM is an advantage.
• Fluent business-level English and German skills.
