Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js) - AI-Assisted Development

About the Role
We're hiring an engineer who can build scalable backend services, own automated test coverage end-to-end, and use AI-assisted development tools to move faster without cutting corners. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable owning both the "build it" and "prove it works" sides of the pipeline.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express
• Write and maintain robust automated test suites across API, UI, and integration layers
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to support application needs
• Use Git for version control and JIRA for issue tracking as part of daily workflow
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code, to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

What You'll Need

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid, hands-on experience with Node.js and Express
• Practical experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Rest-Assured
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Git and JIRA
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code preferred)
