About the Role

NextPower is expanding its global robotics operations and building an India-based team to support remote robotic inspection missions across solar sites worldwide. The Robot Operator Supervisor – India Operations will serve as a key leader within this growing organization, combining hands-on robot operation with team leadership, operational excellence, and cross-regional coordination.


This role will work closely with Robot Operators in India while maintaining daily communication with supervisors and operations leaders based in the United States to ensure alignment on scheduling, performance expectations, quality standards, and mission execution.


Position Overview

As a Robotics Operations Supervisor you will operate robotic systems while supporting and guiding a team of Robot Operators in India. You will help drive operational consistency, ensure high-quality mission execution, coach operators, and act as the primary communication bridge between the India Operations team and U.S.-based leadership.


This position is ideal for someone who is both technically capable and comfortable leading people in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities


Robot Operations (Player/Coach Role)

  • Remotely operate and monitor robotic missions to maintain operational proficiency
  • Support complex or high-priority missions as needed

Team Support & Oversight

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to Robot Operators in India
  • Monitor operator performance, productivity, and adherence to operational standards
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new operators

Cross-Regional Coordination

  • Maintain regular communication with California-based supervisors, leads, and operations teams
  • Participate in shift handoffs, mission reviews, and operational meetings
  • Ensure India operations remain aligned with global processes and expectations

Scheduling & Workflow Support

  • Assist in managing daily operator schedules and coverage
  • Help coordinate workload distribution and mission prioritization

Quality & Performance Management

  • Review mission execution, documentation quality, and operator feedback
  • Identify process improvements and escalate operational challenges

Technical Troubleshooting & Escalation

  • Support operators in resolving technical issues and determining escalation paths
  • Coordinate with engineering or technical support teams when needed

Reporting & Documentation

  • Provide operational updates and performance insights to leadership
  • Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, anomalies, and mission results

Safety & Compliance

  • Reinforce company safety standards and operational best practices
  • Promote a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement


Qualifications

Required

  • English fluency (spoken and written) with daily communication with US teams
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following:
  • Remote operations or robotics
  • Technical support or customer service leadership
  • Operations supervision or team coordination
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work from the India office while supporting U.S. operational hours, including evening or overnight shifts as required.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with remote operations, robotics, or industrial automation.
  • Exposure to robotics, industrial systems, or solar operations
  • Experience leading teams in a 24/7 operations environment.
