Role Objective
Lead end-to-end cost controllership for a service entity, ensuring accurate cost accounting, timely month-end closing, compliance with accounting standards, statutory audit readiness, strong financial controls, and continuous process improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Controllership & Accounting
Review cost movements, variances, accruals, provisions, and other key cost-related accounting activities.
Drive accurate and timely month-end closing and ensure all cost-related accounts are properly reconciled.
Analyze cost trends and variances and provide meaningful insights to business and finance leadership.
Ensure appropriate accounting treatment in line with applicable Accounting Standards and Ind AS.
- Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and other closing activities.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Identify opportunities to improve the close process and reduce turnaround time.
- Statutory Audit & Compliance
Prepare and review financial statements, audit schedules, supporting documentation, and disclosures.
Ensure timely closure of audit observations, CARO/IFC points, and management letter items.
Support compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvements
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to strengthen controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
Drive standardization and automation of finance processes wherever applicable.
Ensure proper documentation of processes, controls, and accounting procedures.
- Stakeholder Management
Support management reviews with timely financial analysis, cost insights, and variance explanations.
Coordinate with global stakeholders and ensure timely closure of finance-related requests.
Required Qualifications
CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA with 8–10 years of relevant experience in controllership/cost controllership.
Strong hands-on experience in Cost Controllership, Accounting Standards, Month-End Closing, and Statutory Audits.
Good understanding of Ind AS and financial accounting principles.
Experience in process improvements, financial controls, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and variance analysis.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in an MNC/GCC/service-sector environment would be preferred.
Strong ERP knowledge such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms would be an advantage.
