Overview Of The Role
As a System Analyst within a product development team in AVIZVA, you will be one of the front- liners of the team spearheading your product’s solution design activities alongside the product owners, system architect, lead developers while collaborating with all business & technology stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners and business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business, functional, data, system and non-functional requirements.
- Analyse product architecture, system components, integrations, dependencies and end-to-end data flows to assess solution impacts and support system-level design decisions.
- Conduct data discovery and analysis using SQL, metadata and relevant industry datasets to identify data structures, usage patterns, quality issues and gaps.
- Develop conceptual and logical data models covering entities, attributes, relationships, keys and cardinality in collaboration with product and database teams.
- Analyse and document APIs and system integrations, including endpoints, methods, request and response structures, field mappings, validation rules, error scenarios, authentication requirements and dependencies.
- Define ETL and data-interchange requirements using Source-to-Target Mappers that capture transformation, enrichment, defaulting, validation, reconciliation and exception-handling rules.
- Create and maintain fit-for-purpose technical documentation, including Technical Analysis Documents, Integration Requirements Specifications, API specifications, Elasticsearch index documents and Companion Guides.
- Develop process, system, integration and data models using appropriate artifacts such as BPMN, UML, sequence diagrams, data-flow diagrams, system flows and ERDs.
- Work with engineering and quality-assurance teams to clarify requirements, define validation scenarios and verify that implemented APIs, integrations, mappings and system behaviour conform to approved specifications.
- Investigate functional, data and integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, support dependent product teams and take ownership of the timely and high-quality delivery of assigned system-analysis activities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science or another relevant analytical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience as a System Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or in a comparable system-analysis role.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience analysing business needs and translating them into functional, data, system and non-functional requirements.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL, including joins, filters, aggregations and subqueries, for data discovery, validation and analysis.
- Experience analysing systems, components, dependencies, integrations and end-to-end data flows within moderately complex technology environments.
- Experience preparing API and integration specifications covering endpoints, methods, request and response structures, field mappings, validation rules, error scenarios and authentication requirements.
- Experience creating clear technical documentation and models, such as Technical Analysis Documents, integration specifications, API documentation, use cases, system flows, BPMN/UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, data-flow diagrams or ERDs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication and stakeholder-collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both business and engineering teams.
- Experience with conceptual or logical data modelling, ETL and data-integration analysis, Source-to-Target Mappers, transformation and enrichment rules, or Elasticsearch and similar indexing technologies.
- Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience supporting product implementations or customizations through system and application configurations would be a significant advantage.
- Awareness of or prior experience with Healthcare or Insurance business processes, systems and data would be an added advantage.
