About the Role

Axelor is hiring Java Backend Developers to join our in-office team in Surat. We're building scalable ERP and BPM solutions on a modern open-source stack — and we're looking for developers who write clean, modular code and enjoy solving real business problems.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend modules using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate
• Work with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases
• Handle XML-based configurations and enterprise integrations
• Collaborate using Git, Eclipse/IntelliJ, and Linux-based environments
• Contribute to the evolution of our open-source ERP and BPM platform
• (Bonus) Apply your ERP/BPM experience — preferred, but not mandatory

What We’re Looking For

• 1 to 5 years of experience in backend development
• Strong grasp of Java and backend frameworks (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate)
• Experience with relational databases and build tools like Gradle
• Familiarity with GitHub, Linux, and modern development workflows
• Clear, structured coding style with attention to performance and maintainability
• Prior ERP/BPM platform experience is a plus — not a dealbreaker

Nice to Have

• REST API development
• JSON, Maven, Jenkins, Tomcat/Jetty
• Basic JavaScript understanding
