We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and Microservices to be part of our global team, contributing to complete systems development within an Agile finance setting, all while fostering solid partnerships with business stakeholders and producing scalable, top-tier solutions.

Responsibilities

Oversee the complete systems development lifecycle, spanning requirements gathering, coding, testing, UAT, deployment, and ongoing maintenance in an Agile setting
Create high-level and detailed technical designs, along with testing strategies and implementation roadmaps
Thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment offering broad exposure across Finance functions
Interpret business requirements and translate them into process workflows, data specifications, and implementation plans
Cultivate strong working relationships with business stakeholders
Spot opportunities for collaboration across divisions and reuse of shared solutions
Develop unit and integration tests to guarantee reliable, resilient software
Coordinate with various stakeholders while juggling multiple responsibilities within a team setting

Requirements

5-8 years working with Java, J2EE, Spring, RESTful Services, Kafka, and Gradle/Maven
Sharp analytical abilities for both technical and functional analysis and design work
Strong communication skills paired with the ability to collaborate effectively within a global team
Solid background in relational databases using SQL and/or MongoDB
Hands-on experience with Splash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and building microservices
Familiarity with modern libraries and toolkits like Guava and JodaTime spanning development, build, and deployment phases
Background in test-driven development, including tools like jUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber
Practical software development background, ideally in Java, Python, or Scala, with familiarity in both RDBMS and NoSQL data stores
Strong programming capabilities coupled with sharp problem-solving skills
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and fundamental programming concepts
Comprehensive full-stack technical design and development expertise
Outstanding communication abilities, including experience presenting to both technical and business audiences across a global organization

Nice to have

Familiarity with DocuSign
Background working with distributed caching solutions like Geode, Ignite, and Cassandra
Genuine interest in the finance sector
