Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, packaging, and deployment.
Manage end-to-end software release processes across multiple environments.
Automate build and deployment activities using DevOps tools and scripting.
Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, security, and operations teams for smooth releases.
Manage release schedules, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and production deployments.
Monitor deployment pipelines and resolve build, configuration, and deployment failures.
Implement automated release processes to improve deployment speed and reliability.
Maintain source code repositories, branching strategies, and version control processes.
Support application configuration and environment management.
Implement and maintain infrastructure and deployment automation.
Troubleshoot production deployment issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Ensure release processes follow organizational security, compliance, and change-management standards.
Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Participate in incident management, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in DevOps and Release Engineering.
Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of Git and branching/merging strategies.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
Hands-on experience with Shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience with Maven, Gradle, npm, or similar build tools.
Experience managing deployments across DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with Helm and Kubernetes deployments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps and security scanning tools.
Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, JFrog Artifactory, or similar repository tools.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of ITIL-based change and release management processes.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
