Human Resources Executive

Job Summary

As an HR Executive, you will be responsible for managing and executing day-to-day HR activities across the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with employees and management to ensure smooth HR operations, effective employee engagement, timely recruitment, and compliance with company policies and applicable labour laws.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and HR documentation. Experience working in the IT sector and familiarity with Zoho People will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations and provide timely support to employees and management.
  • Handle the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, candidate follow-ups, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely closure of open positions.
  • Conduct and coordinate the joining and onboarding process for new employees, including documentation, induction, and HR system updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR files, and documentation.
  • Manage employee attendance, leave, and other HR-related records using HRMS/HR software.
  • Assist in managing employee relations and address employee queries, concerns, and grievances in a professional manner.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives, activities, and internal communication programs.
  • Assist in the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance reviews, documentation, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs based on organizational and employee requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ensure HR processes are carried out in compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.
  • Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related inputs.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, insurance, and other employee welfare initiatives.
  • Assist in managing employee separation processes, including exit interviews, clearance, documentation, and final settlement coordination.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and maintain HR dashboards and MIS as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR-related matters.
  • Stay updated on HR practices, employment regulations, and industry trends and assist in implementing relevant improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR, preferably in the IT sector.
  • Good understanding of HR processes, practices, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Good knowledge of onboarding, attendance, leave management, employee engagement, and HR documentation.
  • Working knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory HR requirements.
  • Experience with HRMS/HR software, preferably Zoho People.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle employee queries and workplace concerns professionally.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with different teams.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling employee information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced IT/software organization is preferred.
  • Experience in handling multiple HR functions independently will be an advantage.
