Responsibilities
- Take the lead on architecting and building cloud-native solutions rooted in microservices and event-driven design principles
- Establish architectural guidelines, design patterns, and best practices to guide enterprise-level engineering teams
- Build and deploy solutions leveraging technologies such as Kubernetes and service mesh tooling like Istio
- Work alongside global architecture teams, technology groups, and stakeholders to maintain alignment with overarching technical direction
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, encouraging strong practices and shared learning
- Push forward performance improvements by directing performance testing and refining distributed system behavior
- Produce and update architectural documentation using tools such as Miro, Gliffy, or Draw.io to clearly communicate technical designs
- Guide cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization efforts across enterprise systems
- Ensure technology solutions support business goals while addressing needs around scalability, reliability, and security
- Investigate emerging technologies and determine their potential value in solving business problems
- Partner closely with technical and product leadership to ensure solutions are delivered successfully
- Between 12 and 20 years of IT experience, with a solid grounding in solution or cloud architecture within enterprise contexts
- Strong background working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP in live production environments
- Demonstrated success designing comprehensive, scalable architectures aligned with enterprise-wide strategy
- Familiarity with implementing and reviewing solutions related to mergers and acquisitions
- Skilled in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management, with GitHub Actions experience considered a plus
- Capability using tools like Miro, Gliffy, or Draw.io to produce technical documentation and diagrams
- Strong capacity to lead architectural conversations and shape technical decisions across multiple organizational levels
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
