As a Guidewire Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high-quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by configuring, developing, integrating, and supporting Guidewire applications and related services. In this capacity, you’ll help deliver capabilities across core insurance functions such as policy administration, underwriting, rating, billing, claims, and related digital experiences. You’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document, and maintain Guidewire components including product model configuration, business rules, workflows, integrations, and APIs that support policy lifecycle transactions, data exchange, and business operations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, designs, configures, develops, tests, debugs, documents, and deploys Guidewire solutions according to standards in an agile environment.
- Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to help protect applications, integrations, and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling, and techniques to support build, deployment, testing, and release activities.
- Configures and enhances Guidewire workflows, rules, product model components, integrations, and supporting services.
- Develops and supports integrations using APIs, messaging, batch processes, and data exchange patterns across Guidewire and adjacent platforms.
- Troubleshoots defects, performance issues, and production support items and drives timely resolution with peers and partner teams.
- Partners with product, QA, architecture teams to clarify requirements and deliver workable, scalable solutions.
- Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice, and innovation.
- Manages medium- to large-sized project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
- Collaborates effectively across India and global teams while adhering to company standards, security expectations, and engineering practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
Experience
Six or more years of technology experience. Three or more years of experience working with Guidewire applications, configurations, or integrations is preferred.
