Job Responsibilities:**
- Lead and manage a team of credit officers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement credit strategies and policies aligned with company objectives and regulatory guidelines for the Coimbatore region.
- Oversee the entire credit lifecycle, including credit appraisal, sanctioning, disbursement, and recovery processes.
- Conduct thorough credit assessments and financial analysis of loan applications, including individuals and businesses.
- Identify and mitigate potential credit risks through effective underwriting practices and portfolio monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to all internal credit policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to achieve business targets while maintaining credit quality.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the credit landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in credit management within the financial services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing a credit portfolio and achieving credit quality targets.
- In-depth knowledge of credit appraisal techniques, financial analysis, and risk management principles.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Local knowledge of the Coimbatore market is highly desirable.
