Responsibilities

Develop, design, and maintain scalable, high-performance web services using Java
Partner with front-end developers to connect web services smoothly with web applications
Build RESTful APIs to support seamless communication between client-side and server-side applications
Apply best practices and standards to keep services reliable, resilient, and secure
Tune services for scalability and speed, including caching, load balancing, and database optimization
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver quality software solutions
Review code, offer constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with coding standards
Keep current with new Java and web services technologies and patterns

Requirements

Professional IT background of 5+ years with at least 5+ years of strong Java proficiency
Strong knowledge of building web services, including RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience using Spring Boot to build and deploy web services
Solid background in security best practices, including Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization
Practical experience with SQL queries and stored procedures, as well as Hibernate for ORM-based database access
Working ability with Linux commands in development environments
Thorough understanding of web security concepts and best practices
Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git and ADO
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
Exposure to Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to work productively in a collaborative team setting
English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of Angular
Experience with microservices architecture
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
