Responsibilities
- Design software solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable and meet business requirements
- Define and execute technology strategy for one or more products together with stakeholders
- Partner with senior technical and product leaders to inform design decisions and delivery outcomes
- Collaborate with global Solution Architecture & Engineering teams to set principles and best practices
- Engage with wider technical and architecture teams to ensure alignment with organizational strategies
- Create, compare, and validate solution alternatives using current and emerging technologies
- Lead implementation using microservices-based architecture for fintech applications
- Mentor development teams and reinforce technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Work closely with product owners and operations to enable seamless software delivery
- Promote agile development principles and foster a collaborative team culture
- Support delivery with hands-on prototypes and resolution of complex technical challenges
- Advocate for technical quality and sustainable, future-proof solutions
- Broad product engineering experience designing scalable software solutions, with 5+ years owning solution architecture
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, web applications & services, and microservices architecture
- Demonstrated background designing high-transaction-volume financial systems with global scalability and extreme uptime needs
- Hands-on skills in HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks including React and Angular
- Proficiency in back-end development using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server for large-scale implementations
- Experience working with cloud-native technologies like PCF, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS
- Comfort working in Agile environments emphasizing collaboration and iteration
- Track record of mentoring development teams and driving continuous technical improvement
- Ability to support hands-on prototype development to address business challenges
- Clear communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
- Expertise with Java, J2EE, RESTful APIs, React, and Angular
- Understanding of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate
- Familiarity with API tooling and API design best practices for large-scale systems
- Knowledge of cloud and DevOps architecture, especially with Azure or AWS
