Required Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience after B.E./B.Tech.
- Experience in Elevated Metro, Metro Stations, Viaduct, Bridge, Flyover, or other infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety, HSE/SHE requirements, risk assessment, and safety procedures.
- Good knowledge of safety audits, inspections, incident investigation, and statutory compliance.
- Strong coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor and implement safety policies, procedures, and HSE requirements at the project site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, and Permit-to-Work systems.
- Monitor safety during work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, and other construction activities.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, training, and awareness programs.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with project safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams on safety-related matters.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare necessary reports.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and other HSE documentation.
- Support safety audits and ensure timely closure of observations and non-compliances.
- Assist the Project Manager in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring smooth execution of the Surat Metro project.
