Key Responsibilities
- Lead packaging engineering activities for Commercial and Consumer All-in-One (AIO) PC products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience 5+yrs
- Manage packaging artwork development, review, validation, and approval to ensure accuracy, branding compliance, regulatory adherence, and localization requirements.
- Coordinate with local development teams, global stakeholders, and packaging vendors to deliver packaging solutions aligned with product and business objectives.
- Drive packaging material development, testing, qualification, and implementation to meet product protection, sustainability, quality, and cost requirements.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring packaging readiness for key program milestones and production ramps.
- Provide support for Mass Production (MP), Engineering Changes (EC), and Product Change Notifications (PCN) to ensure smooth implementation and minimal business impact.
- Ensure all CMI (Customer Marketing Interface/Commercial Manufacturing Interface) deliverables are completed on time and meet required standards.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to drive project execution.
- Conduct packaging validation, drop testing, transportation testing, reliability assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure product integrity during shipment and handling.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through packaging design improvements, material standardization, and supplier engagement while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify packaging-related risks, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues effectively.
- Monitor project schedules and deliverables to ensure on-time launches and achievement of business targets.
- Support sustainability initiatives by evaluating environmentally friendly packaging materials and reducing packaging waste where applicable.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in hardware engineering, packaging engineering, NPI, or product development within consumer electronics, PC, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, packaging design, qualification processes, and manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of mass production processes, engineering change management (EC/PCN), and supplier management.
- Familiarity with packaging validation standards, transportation testing, regulatory compliance, and sustainability requirements.
- Strong project management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, data analysis, and project tracking systems.
