Category Manager, Electronics
Customer Capital
About the Role
Customer Capital powers captive shopping and loyalty for large banks in India. Shopstacc — our curated e-commerce catalogue — lives inside bank apps and serves millions of cardholders. Electronics is one of our highest-GMV categories, and we're looking for someone to own it end-to-end.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage supplier/brand relationships for electronics — smartphones, accessories, appliances, audio.
- Drive onboarding of new brands and SKUs; negotiate pricing, exclusives, and promotional slots.
- Own ongoing promotions: flash sales, bank-day deals, bundle offers — coordinated with bank loyalty calendars.
- Maintain catalogue quality — accurate specs, images, pricing, and availability SLAs.
- Work with product and growth to improve category visibility, search ranking, and conversion.
- Track sell-through, returns, and margin by SKU; use data to decide what stays and what goes.
- Keep a sharp eye on competitor pricing and category benchmarks.
Who You Are
- 6–8 years in category management, buying, or supplier relations — ideally at an eCom player, marketplace, or organised retail chain.
- You've owned significant brand/supplier relationships — you know how to negotiate, structure deals, and hold vendors accountable over time.
- Data-literate: you can pull a pivot table, read a funnel, and spot an anomaly without help.
- Strong written communication — you'll interface with senior brand stakeholders and internal bank teams.
- Comfortable at a small team's pace: you own outcomes, not just tasks.
What This Isn't
- A role for someone who needs a large category team around them.
- A pure relationship job — there's real data and operations work here.
- A brand-side role — you're buying and curating, not selling.
