Fleet Operations Officer

Anglo-Eastern Ship Management

To provide comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Fleet Management team, ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day vessel activities.

Requirements

ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Voyage monitoring and follow-up. Monitor and keep track on vessel’s stoppages, and breach notification, etc., and follow-up on FSMC requirements.
  • Preparation of guidance and routine communications with vessels. Prepare and distribute essential notices and guidance to the vessel, conveying port and cargo safety operations, including port cautionary notices, cargo precautionary notices, and general operational guidance.
  • System and data management. Update and maintain data in various operational systems, ensuring accurate entries and records, and to prepare periodic reports for shipowners and internal business usage.
  • Inspections and surveys. Coordinate various inspections and surveys, including SIRE and RightShip inspections, cargo and insurance-related surveys, canine stowaway searches, PMSC arrangement, and maintain up-to-date documentation and recordsCertificates and documentation. Obtain and manage application / renewal of necessary trading and insurance certificates, coordinate with branch offices to furnish with required information to facilitate the application / renewal.
  • Payment and invoice issuance. Ensure invoices are cleared in a timely manner, and follow-up on invoice issuance for Owners on costs recovery.

KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

Technical skills

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Sound PC knowledge, especially with MS Office
  • Dynamic & able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
  • Good organization and coordination skills with due attention to detail

Professional skills:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :

  • University graduate or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Background in shipping studies or relevant experience with ship manager or knowledge will be an advantage
