People & Operations Associate (HR & Admin)
Landeed | YC
Landeed is growing fast, and this is its first People and Operations hire: one person who owns everything that lets the team do its best work, and who builds the function from zero as the company grows.
It is a rare seat for someone early in their career. You will hire, onboard and look after people, and you will also run the office, inventory, the vendors, the travel and the money that flows through all of it. In three years you will be leading the function you built.
This is not a typical HR role, and not a comfortable one. It is a builder's role that happens to include HR.
What You'll Own
- Hiring that moves at the speed we interview, and onboarding that has someone productive in week one
- The office, its vendors, equipment and travel, running so well nobody thinks about them
- Payroll, reimbursements and statutory work, done right and on time
- Events, off-boarding employees, etc
- In general, clearing bottlenecks and enabling growth of the company, whatever it takes.
- Zero to three years of experience, and evidence that you have made something run: a college festival that actually happened, a family business, an internship where they gave you the keys, a team you organised when nobody asked
- You measure yourself by whether the company moved
- You notice what is broken before anyone reports it, and fix it before anyone asks
- You are as comfortable negotiating with a landlord as sitting with a new hire on their first day
- Discretion is second nature; you will know salaries and exits before anyone else
- Fluent English and Telugu or Hindi. Based in Hyderabad, at the office
Compensation
₹5L – ₹7.5L fixed, plus equity.
What Success Looks Like
- 90 days — nothing about the office, hiring or people is on a founder's list
- 1 year — a process for every initiative you pick up
- 3 years — you lead the People and Operations function you built
- Intro call (30 min)
- Case (60 min) — three real situations from a month at Landeed; you tell us what happens by Friday
- Founder conversation (45 min)
