Community Manager

Pocket FM is hiring a Community Manager for Front Row our VIP community. Front Row is our curated VIP community for some of Pocket FM’s most engaged listeners. It started as a small US pilot and is now gearing up to scale into a community of thousands.

And we’re not looking for someone to simply “manage a Discord.”

We’re looking for someone who can build belonging.

What you’ll own

• Build and scale an engaged VIP community
• Own onboarding, member journeys and day-to-day community operations
• Be the face and voice of the community - host AMAs, trivia nights, listen-alongs, creator Q&As and other live experiences
• Create engagement programs that make members participate, not just lurk
• Own community moderation, safety and member experience
• Partner with Product & Engineering as we move from Discord
• Turn member conversations into actionable insights for Product & Monetisation
• Track engagement, participation and retention to understand what actually moves the needle

You might be a great fit if

• You have 2+ years of hands-on community-building experience
• You’ve scaled an online community from hundreds to thousands
• You come from Gaming, Creator, Fandom or Subscription communities
• You’ve managed US-based communities and are comfortable working partly in US hours
• Discord is second nature to you
• You’re comfortable being live and on camera/mic
• You understand engagement, retention, cohorts and community metrics
• You’re comfortable experimenting with AI tools such as Claude Cowork / Claude Code
• Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy knowing your members and creating experiences they want to come back for
