We are seeking an experienced Contractor – Memory Circuit Design Verification professional to support the verification and validation of memory circuit designs for advanced semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in memory circuit verification, simulation, debug, and analysis, with a solid understanding of semiconductor memory architectures and circuit behavior.
You will work closely with circuit designers, verification engineers, physical design teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure memory circuits meet functional, performance, power, and reliability requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design verification of memory circuits, including SRAM, DRAM, register files, memory arrays, sense amplifiers, pre-charge circuits, write/read paths, and related peripheral circuits.
- Develop and execute verification plans, test scenarios, and simulation strategies for memory circuit blocks.
- Analyze circuit behavior across PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) corners, operating conditions, and device variations.
- Perform transistor-level simulations using industry-standard SPICE-based simulation environments.
- Verify critical memory parameters including read/write margins, timing, leakage, power consumption, stability, and performance.
- Develop, maintain, and execute simulation testbenches and regression suites.
- Debug simulation failures and identify root causes related to circuit design, device behavior, timing, or modeling issues.
- Collaborate with circuit designers to reproduce failures, investigate corner cases, and recommend design improvements.
- Perform Monte Carlo and statistical simulations to evaluate process variation, mismatch, and yield-related behavior.
- Review circuit schematics, netlists, simulation results, and design specifications to identify potential verification gaps.
- Automate repetitive verification and data-analysis activities using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, or Shell.
- Document verification methodologies, test results, coverage, issues, and sign-off status.
- Participate in design reviews, verification reviews, and technical discussions with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Support silicon correlation and post-silicon analysis where required.
Must-Have Skills
- 3–10 years of hands-on experience in Memory Circuit Design Verification.
- Strong understanding of memory circuit architectures and transistor-level circuit behavior.
- Experience verifying SRAM, DRAM, register files, memory arrays, or similar memory circuits.
- Strong knowledge of SPICE-based circuit simulation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with PVT, process variation, mismatch, and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Understanding of memory-specific metrics such as read/write stability, noise margins, timing, leakage, power, and performance.
- Ability to analyze schematics, netlists, waveforms, and simulation data.
- Experience debugging complex circuit-level failures and identifying root causes.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, Tcl, or Shell for verification automation.
- Good understanding of semiconductor device fundamentals, CMOS circuits, and VLSI design concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a contract engineering environment.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with advanced-node semiconductor technologies.
- Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE, or equivalent EDA tools.
- Exposure to memory compiler development or memory characterization.
- Knowledge of FinFET, GAA, low-voltage circuit design, or advanced CMOS technologies.
- Experience with statistical yield analysis and automated simulation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Python-based data analysis and visualization.
- Exposure to silicon validation, characterization, or post-silicon debug.
