Role Summary

We are looking for an Associate Technical Unreal Artist to help build, integrate, optimise and deliver real-time 3D experiences in Unreal Engine. This is a hands-on production role for someone who can bridge art and technical execution across scenes, assets, materials, lighting, Sequencer, rendering and interactive workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, light and optimise real-time 3D scenes and cinematic sequences in Unreal Engine.
  • Integrate, organise, reimport and validate assets, materials, textures, animations and Blueprints.
  • Set up and maintain Sequencer, cameras, lighting, Movie Render Queue and reliable final-output pipelines.
  • Diagnose rendering, lighting, shader, Blueprint and performance issues using evidence and profiling tools.
  • Apply practical optimisation across draw calls, textures, shaders, LODs, lighting and scene complexity while protecting visual quality.
  • Support technical-art workflows for materials, Niagara effects, post-processing, collision, packaging and platform-specific output.
  • Maintain clean project structure, naming conventions, version discipline and dependable handovers.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, engineers, leads and production teams; communicate trade-offs and raise delivery risks early.
  • Document repeatable workflows and contribute to tools, checklists and process improvements.
  • Test new Unreal workflows carefully and adopt them when they improve quality, reliability or delivery speed.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 2–5 years of hands-on Unreal Engine production experience in real-time 3D, virtual production, XR, games, visualisation or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Unreal Engine, including level assembly, asset management, materials, lighting, Sequencer and Movie Render Queue.
  • Practical understanding of Blueprints, technical troubleshooting, profiling and performance optimisation.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving issues across scenes, assets, shaders, lighting, rendering and interactive behaviour.
  • Familiarity with Niagara, post-processing, LODs, collision, packaging and source-control workflows is preferred.
  • Ability to read technical requirements, follow production standards and explain issues clearly to both technical and creative teammates.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving and reliable follow-through.
  • Portfolio or showreel demonstrating personal contribution to Unreal Engine projects.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Chennai.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting reusable tools, material functions, Blueprint utilities or technical-art standards.
  • Exposure to Python or other scripting for pipeline support and repetitive-task automation.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile or sprint-based production environments.
