Senior WPF Software Engineer (Third Party Roll)

Own and manage the lifecycle of a business-critical engineering application. Maintain, support, and continuously improve existing software solutions. Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of migration initiatives from Oracle Forms to modern .NET WPF architecture. Act as the primary technical point of contact for the application. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. Ensure adherence to software architecture, quality, security, and delivery standards. Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and support teams. Participate in application deployment, operational support, and stabilization activities. Contribute to future enhancements, application modernization, and technology transformation initiatives. Support knowledge sharing, documentation, and best practices across the team.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with WPF, C#, and .NET development.
- Proven experience in migrating legacy Oracle Forms applications to modern .NET technologies, preferably WPF.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Forms, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages, and database-driven business applications.
- Ability to analyze existing Oracle Forms applications and translate business logic into modern .NET architectures.
- Solid knowledge of Entity Framework Core.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQLite, SQL Server, or equivalent platforms.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining rich desktop applications.
- Strong expertise in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).
- Practical experience with UI component frameworks such as DevExpress or similar.
- Deep understanding of MVVM architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with application modernization, code refactoring, and migration of legacy systems.
- Knowledge of software architecture patterns and enterprise application design.
- Experience delivering Oracle Forms to .NET/WPF migration projects end-to-end.
- Familiarity with tools, techniques, and best practices for legacy application assessment and modernization.
- Experience validating migrated functionality and ensuring business process continuity during technology transitions.
- Understanding of engineering, EPC, or industrial software environments is highly desirable.
