The Payroll Processor is responsible for payroll processing and related statutory compliance, including verification of HR data, coordination with the payroll outsourcing team, payroll validation, statutory returns, employee payroll and taxation queries, and payroll-related payments. The role works closely with HR, Finance, employees, payroll processors, and compliance consultants.

Role

  • Maintain payroll checks and balances and Employee Master data.
  • Process and verify monthly payroll, full & final settlements, and post-cutoff payroll.
  • Ensure payroll compliance and timely filing of PF, PT, ESIC, TDS, LWF and other applicable returns; issue Form 16.
  • Administer Group Term Life policy and Gratuity Trust investments and payouts.
  • Handle employee payroll and taxation queries.
  • Ensure timely payroll and statutory/non-statutory payments.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, payroll processors, compliance consultants, and employees.
  • Prepare payroll cost reports.
  • Identify process issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of payroll and compliance experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software. Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, TDS, labour law returns, gratuity, and individual taxation. Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
