Responsibilities
- Define and drive the application and solution vision in collaboration with Business stakeholders, Product Owners, and System Architects.
- Gather, analyze, and challenge business and technical requirements to deliver efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Translate business strategy, functional objectives, and technical priorities into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business value and strategic goals.
- Create, refine, and manage User Stories with clear acceptance criteria and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate Agile teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and impediments in partnership with Agile Masters and key stakeholders.
- Lead incident assessment and resolution prioritization based on business impact, criticality, and operational risk.
- Ensure compliance with architecture standards, quality requirements, governance processes, and release commitments.
- Act as the primary point of contact between business, technology, and delivery teams, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Communicate project status, roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes through regular governance and reporting forums.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing transparency, facilitating decision-making, and translating technical concepts into business value.
- Own budget planning, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with investment objectives.
- Collaborate with Tribe Managers, System Architects, Release Train Engineers, and vendors to ensure successful execution and portfolio alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement, value realization, and customer satisfaction while ensuring delivery of scalable and business-aligned solutions.
Profile required
- 15+ years of experience in Data Warehouse application development and support, with strong expertise in ETL technologies (IBM DataStage) and Snowflake within large-scale data warehousing environments, preferably in the Banking domain.
- Strong functional understanding of Credit Risk, Marketing, and related banking business processes, with the ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Application Manager responsible for one or more IT solutions across both Build and Run activities.
- Collaborate with Business stakeholders, Product Owners, and System Architects to define solution vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy, while overseeing execution through Agile teams.
- Drive backlog management, requirement prioritization, and delivery planning, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical needs, and strategic priorities.
- Prioritize functional enhancements, technical debt, production support activities, and continuous improvement initiatives based on business value and risk.
- Extensive experience working within Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI Planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Hands-on experience in Data Warehouse and ETL projects, including data validation, data quality analysis, reconciliation, and production support activities.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to independently drive projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Proficient in SQL with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify data anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions.
- Knowledge of Unix scripting and scheduling tools is desirable and considered an added advantage.
- Work closely with Business, Tribe leadership, Business Analysts, Architects, and technical teams to define new product features, establish acceptance criteria, and ensure successful delivery of business changes into production.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, issues, and production incidents while ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- Support budgeting, planning, reporting, and governance activities, providing visibility into delivery progress, resource utilization, risks, and business value realization.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across business and technology teams.
