Position Purpose: FA Business Operations Project Manager

Responsibilities

Managing Global projects for the Fund Accounting division.

Significant Industry experience within FA Operations, along with deep knowledge and expertise in delivery of Daily asset value of mutual funds will be critical for the role. The PM role is responsible for leading complex programs with the aim to achieve operational efficiencies and risk reduction in line with the global operating model.

Direct Responsibilities

In this role, candidates will require to deliver absolute quality, with big focus on process transformation to bring lean workflow with effective control

    • The role requires very strong Organizational skills. In this role individual would be expected to have full understanding of process and control as pertaining to Fund Accounting and daily NAV for mutual funds.
    • The Candidate will be expected to work closely with the teams within FA & other satellite teams as the projects will have touchpoints across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
    • The Candidate will coordinate the transformation impacts with all stakeholders and support the operational teams through to the implementation of the identified solutions and actions
    • Prepare monthly reports on the changes & achievements and present them to Management.
    • Solid technical understanding of Fund Accounting / Fund Services functions and across fund structures is expected. Anticipation of issue and risk assessment would be key and timely escalating to appropriate team/ escalation contact would be expected.
    • Demonstration of commitment to ensure continuous process improvement to achieve efficiency targets.
    • Effective and Strong Communication Skill required for this role

    Contributing Responsibilities

    • Ensure high level of communication network is established will all the departments within the business group to promote team stability with enhancement of expertise.
    • Ensure that client requirements, issues/concerns are addressed and resolved within the agreed project target launch timelines.
    • Ensure high level of service is delivered to the Clients of BNP Paribas Group.
    • Manage and reduce operational risk
    • Prioritise the work and conduct investigation with due diligence on all issues, blockers as the projects progress.
    • Ensure all projects are aligned to client service agreements.
    • Ensure no material / financial incidents
    • Conduct investigation with due diligence on all the discrepancies in processes

    Technical & Behavioral Competencies

    • Overall 12+ years plus experience with at least 10 years+ in FA Domain
    • End to End exposure in Fund Accounting Stream with knowledge of Mutual funds accounting.
    • Aware of the entire NAV cycle and roles played by different upstream teams. Basic knowledge of upstream teams like Middle office, Pricing, Corporate Action, TA etc.
    • Interest and Experience in FA Operational Transformation
    • Knowledge of specific BNP Paribas/Securities Services Control processes and tools
    • Continue to ensure sufficient Risk & Control process are in place
    • Continually working towards process improvements and efficiency savings and optimization of costs
    • Aligning with organization goals
    • Business Migration Expertise
    • Adequate understanding of FA System Data Flow
    • Be able to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations
    • Exposure to implementing artificial intelligence tools to support high productivity
    • Be proactive in proposing modern, digital, and innovative solutions that will address operational challenges.
    • The candidate should uphold high level of compliance on conduct topics

    Specific Qualifications

    Graduates / Postgraduates (M. Com/MBA Finance preferred)
